Abstract: This presentation, made to the GBC’s Board of Governors, provides an update of the applied research conducted at George Brown College through the Office of Applied Research and Innovation (ARO). The presentation outlines the benefits of applied research to the college, students, faculty, industry and the greater community. It also provides a summary of the ARO’s accomplishments including the number of students and faculty involved in the applied research endeavor, funding viability, and building the ARO brand. The presentation concludes with an outline new funding potential for college research, new developments and GBC research successes.
