Abstract: This report outlines the results of an investigation into the feasibility of installing a biowall in building E of George Brown College’s Casa Loma Campus. A biowall is a vertical garden that acts as a natural air filtration system. As air moves through the wall, impurities are removed and clean air is distributed throughout the building via the HVAC system. The biowall would not only function as an aesthetic focal point to the building, but it would help clean the air, create a forum for applied research and a visual impetus to continue pursuing sustainable development within the college.
